Introduction:

The postman is a small government servant He works in the postal department. He is a well-known person both in the village and in the town. Many people wait for his arrival everyday.

His duty: 

The postman wears a khaki dress and carries a bag. He has to do a lot of duties. He begins his carly work in the post office. He opens the mail bag and sorts the letters, parcels, money orders and other postal articles. Then he seals them. He takes them into his bag and goes out to deliver them to the proper owners. He goes from door to door even in the foul weather.

His qualities: 

A postman gets small salary but his life is not easy. He has to work hard from morning till afternoon. He is very busy and active. He is punctual and dutiful l. He knows that his failure in his duty may bring great loss or harm to people.

Importance: 

A postman is a very useful person to all. People cannot do without his service. He brings us news from our friends and relatives. We always hope that he will bring some good news. Sometimes he also brings bad news. Yet we all always welcome him.

Conclusion: 

The postman is a friend to all. He does his work honestly. But he is ill-paid. Considering his duty, his pay should be increased. We should behave well with him.
