Introduction: 

Computer is a wonderful gift modern science. It is an ultra modern electronic device of modern technology. But it cannot do anything by itself. It works on the basis of the commands given by the operator. It can solve many difficult problems within a short time.

Invention: 

Computer was not invented overnight. It took long time and hard labour to invent computer. Charles Bavez, British professor of a Mathematics, gave an idea that helped human brain . Then Howard Akin, an American scientist, invented modern computer. 

Parts and Functions:

A computer has five main parts. These are the input unit, the output unit, the memory unit, the control unit and the arithmetic unit. A computer does three functions. It receives data, processes it and finally emits it.

Usefulness: 

Now a days computer is used, for va purposes, It helps us in many ways. It is now being used to different fields like education, medical science, agriculture trade and commerce, printing, industrial sector etc In short, computer has brought about a great change in our life. It has made our life easy, comfortable and enjoyable.

Demerits: 

Computer has its own demerits. It causes some diseases. It weakens the eyesight of the operators. It is also used in war.

Conclusion: 

Computer is a blessing of modern science. We cannot go a single moment without computer. It is part and parcel of our daily life. Now our duty is to make the proper use of computer for the welfare of mankind
