Introduction:
Bangladesh is a darling child of nature. It grows flowers in plenty. Flowers grow in all seasons. They differ in color, size, shape and scent. They are found every where in our country. So our country is rightly called a land of flowers.
Important flowers:
The Shapla:
The shapla is the Bengli name of the water lily. It is of two colors red and white. The white shapla is our national flower. It is a flower of the rainy season. The rose: The rose is the best of all flowers. It is called the queen of flowers. People like it for its sweet scent and beauty.
The Sheoli:
The sheoli is the queen of autumn. It is small in size. It is white in colour and looks very charming.
The marigold:
The marigold is a common flower in our country. It is a flower of winter. It is golden in color and looks nice. The sun flower: The sun flower is also a common flower. It blooms in winter. Its beauty charms everyone.
Other flowers:
The hasnahena, the rajanigandha, the gandharaj, the bakul, the bali and the jui are the summer flowers. The krishnachura, the palash, the shimul and the karabi bloom in big and high trees. They are known as spring flowers. We have many other flowers like the kamini, the champa, the dalia, the joba, the madhabilata and so on.
Usefulness:
Flowers are the gifts of nature Flower is thing of beauty. A thing of beauty is a joy for ever. Flowers are very useful. We use flowers to decorate our houses. Flowers soothe our mind. Many cultivate flowers to earn money. At present flower cultivation is profitable. We also get honey, rosewater and medicine from flowers.

Bangladesh is full of flowers. Flowers are useful to us in many ways. So we should cultivate more and more flowers.
