Introduction:

Tree Plantation means planting trees in a planned way. Trees are an important element of our environment. They help us in different ways. In fact, they are our best friends. But our country is not rich in forest resources. So we should plant more and more trees.

Importance: 

Trees play an important role in our life and economy. They give us oxygen and take away carbon dioxide. They give us foods and fruits. They also give shade and shelter. We get timber from trees. Timber is used for making houses, boats, ships, furniture etc. They save land from erosion. They cause rain. They also prevent natural calamities. They can control the greenhouse effect.

Deforestation: 

Most of the people of our country are illiterate and ignorant of the important once of trees. They are cutting down trees recklessly. Without trees there will have no rain. The country will one day turn into a desert. Temperature will rise. Then natural calamities will take place

Time and Place for Tree Plantation: 

June and July are the proper time for planting trees. Tree plantation week is served both in towns and villages every year. We should plant two trees before we cut down one. We can plant trees on the banks of ponds, canals and rivers, on the roadsides, by the sides of rail lines, in schools, colleges and universities, at homes etc. Mere planting trees will not do, Proper steps should be taken to preserve the planted trees.

Trees are part and parcel of our life. All of us should be aware of this. We should plant more and more trees, We should bear in mind that the more we plant trees, the more we do good for us. So public awareness should be raised in this regard.
