[Composition] - A Journey by Boat

Introduction:

A journey is a source of pleasure and experience. A journey by boat is very interesting to me. Whenever I get time and chance, I make a journey by boat. Then my heart leaps up with joy. A few days ago I made a boat journey from Narsingdi to Ashuganj.

Time and Occasion:

It was autumn vacation. One day my friend Hasan invited me to attend the marriage ceremony of his younger sister at their house at Ashuganj. I and two of my friends decided to go there by boat.

Starting:

We were three in number. On the fixed day we got up early in the morning. We took our breakfast. The we reached our launch Ghat at 8 a.m. We hired a fine boat We started our journey from Narsingdi at 9 a.m.

Description:

There were two boatmen. They were very nice men. They were very experienced. The sky was clear The weather was fine. The river was calm and full to the brim. The boatmen set sail. At first the boat began to move slowly. Soon it began to move fast. It began to dance with the small waves. We enjoyed the sights and sounds of nature. We saw many big and small boats in the river. Many fishermen were catching fishes in the river. Some boys and girls were swimming. There were many fields and trees on both sides of the river. There were green fields, paddy fields and jute fields. All these things charmed our eyes.

Destination:

At about 2 p.m. we reached our destination. My friend was present at the river ghat. He received us cordially. Thus my journey came to an end.

Conclusion:

The boat journey was a short one but I enjoyed it very much. It is the most pleasant journey in my life. Its memory will remain ever fresh in my heart.
